My name is Hawa Dauda. I have been a journalist since 2013, reporting across current affairs, human interest stories, and especially sports journalism, which is my main area of specialization. I have worked in both electronic and print media.
I am an award-winning Sierra Leonean journalist, a nominee for the National Entertainment Awards, and a recipient of the 50 Influential Women Award. I am also a women and girls’ advocate and the founder of Slum Advocacy for Children, an organization that supports vulnerable children in slum communities by providing teaching and learning materials.
