Bo Rangers have claimed the SLFA Men’s Unity Cup after defeating East End Lions 2–1 in a dramatic final at the Southern Arena on Sunday, 4 October 2026.
The Leone Rock Premier League champions made an immediate impact, taking the lead just two minutes into the match through new signing Abdul Bangura.
East End Lions struggled to find an equaliser as Bo Rangers maintained their advantage into the second half. However, the Lions eventually levelled the contest in the 83rd minute when Ali Conteh found the back of the net.
With the match heading towards extra time, Bo Rangers produced a decisive late moment. Bangura struck again in the second minute of stoppage time, 90+2, to complete his brace and secure the trophy for the Elephants.
The result gives Bo Rangers another piece of silverware and further strengthens their position as one of the dominant forces in Sierra Leonean domestic football.
For East End Lions, the defeat marked a disappointing outcome after their late fightback, while Egyptian debutant Magdy Gamal Fouda, who came off the bench, could not help the Lions find a winning response.
The Southern Arena was filled with thousands of supporters who turned out for the Unity Cup encounter, creating an electric atmosphere for one of the country’s biggest domestic football occasions.
Bo Rangers now turn their attention to the new Premier League campaign, while East End Lions will look to regroup and build on their preparations for the season ahead.
