The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has commenced a CAF B Diploma coaching course for the first time in a decade, marking another step in the development of football coaches in the country.
SLFA President Babadi Kamara addressed participants at the SLFA Secretariat in Kingtom, Freetown, encouraging them to take full advantage of the opportunity and remain committed throughout the programme.
“Make good use of the opportunity and learn to the best of your ability,” Kamara told the participants.
He thanked the coaches for enrolling in the course and stressed the importance of the programme in advancing their professional development.
“This is another step to making you one of the best in the field. Stay focused and do your best,” he added.
The CAF B Diploma course is being conducted in Sierra Leone for the first time since 2016, when the programme was facilitated by current SLFA Technical Director John Keister.
The four-month programme will combine theoretical sessions, practical training and internship attachments, providing participants with comprehensive coaching education and practical experience.
The return of the CAF B Diploma course is expected to strengthen the technical capacity of local coaches and contribute to the broader development of football in Sierra Leone.
