East End Lions Draw Ivorian Side AF Amadou Diallo in CAF Confederation Cup

AF Amadou Diallo FC of Côte d’Ivoire in the first preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2026/27, following Thursday’s draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). 

The matchup sets up an exciting West African derby as the FA Cup champions of Sierra Leone begin their quest for a place in the group stage of Africa’s second-tier club competition.

The tie will be played over two legs, with the first leg scheduled for 4–6 September 2026 and the return leg from 11–13 September 2026. The winner on aggregate will advance to the second preliminary round.
