
Football stakeholders across Sierra Leone have commended Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Babadi Kamara for his impressive leadership achievements in less than one year in office.
Since assuming office, Kamara and his executive team have made significant strides in attracting corporate sponsorships to support football development in the country. Under his leadership, sponsorship agreements have been secured for both the men’s and women’s Premier League competitions, providing a major boost to domestic football.
One of the administration’s biggest achievements has been securing a landmark sponsorship package worth NLe 2.8 million for the Sierra Leone FA Cup through a partnership with Orange Sierra Leone. The deal is expected to strengthen the competition and enhance football development nationwide.
Stakeholders have also praised the successful organization of this year’s FA Cup competition, describing it as one of the most peaceful tournaments in the country’s history. Many observers noted that the competition was conducted without major incidents of violence, marking a significant milestone for Sierra Leone football.
The achievements have been viewed as a strong indication of the new administration’s commitment to improving governance, attracting investment, and restoring confidence in Sierra Leone football.
