Financial records relating to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) during the tenure of then President Thomas Daddy Brima raise questions over the handling and retirement of substantial funds.

The statement shows a Le750 million credit, reportedly corresponding to the US$100,000 sponsorship from Sierra Leone Commercial Bank. On the same day, three separate cash debits were made, reportedly by then Finance Manager Ibrahim Bah.

Another Le575 million was debited, reportedly for hotel bills and preparatory arrangements for Leone Stars. This raises questions given the claim that the Government covered Leone Stars’ expenses in full during the relevant period.

The statement also shows a Le700 million overdraft, while a handwritten note indicates an outstanding balance of approximately Le402 million from the overdraft dating back to October 2021.

There was also a Le399.5 million cash withdrawal, reportedly made by then SLFA President Thomas Daddy Brima, as well as a payment exceeding Le700 million to Shock Proof Investment, with no business address appearing on the statement.
