The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, has been elected Vice President of the West African Football Union Zone A (WAFU A).
Kamara was elected during the 15th WAFU A Elective General Assembly, held in Banjul, The Gambia, where football leaders and representatives from member associations across the sub-region gathered to elect a new leadership team for the regional football body.
His election marks a significant development for Sierra Leone’s representation within WAFU A and reflects the confidence placed in his leadership and contribution to football development in the sub-region.
President Kamara attended the elective congress alongside SLFA General Secretary, Ing. Mohamed Benson Bawoh.
In his new role as Vice President, Kamara is expected to work with the newly elected WAFU A leadership and member associations to promote football development, strengthen regional cooperation, improve competitions, and address key administrative challenges affecting the game across the zone.
His appointment further strengthens Sierra Leone’s voice in regional football administration and places the SLFA president in a key position to contribute to the future direction of football in West Africa.
